Basketball Recap: Kentwood's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Thursday

Kentwood won the last time they faced Kentridge and things went their way on Thursday too. The Kentwood Conquerors walked away with a 70-63 victory over the Kentridge Chargers. Given the Conquerors' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 28th, while the Chargers are ranked 149th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Kentwood's win bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Kentridge, they now have a losing record at 6-7.

Kentwood will host Auburn at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Kentwood has won ten straight at home dating back to last season, while Auburn won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change. As for Kentridge, they will venture away from home to square off against Mt. Rainier at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
