Football Game Preview: East Davidson Golden Eagles vs. West Davidson Dragons + How To Watch

The East Davidson Golden Eagles will square off against the West Davidson Dragons at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. East Davidson has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with three straight losses, while West Davidson will come in with three straight wins.

On Friday, East Davidson came up short against Thomasville and fell 28-16.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask West Davidson). They breezed past Trinity to the tune of 51-13 on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Dragons, who have now won four contests by 23 points or more so far this season.

East Davidson better focus on containing Carson Correll and Nic Huff as the pair were huge in West Davidson's win. Correll rushed for 107 yards and one touchdown on only seven carries, while Huff rushed for 71 yards and three scores on only nine carries. Those three rushing touchdowns gave Huff a new career-high.

West Davidson was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 258 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 190 rushing yards in four consecutive matchups.

West Davidson didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Ethan McClosky. West Davidson got some further help from Cooper Moore: he made 18 total tackles (2.0 for loss).

East Davidson's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for West Davidson, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.
