Football Game Preview: Desert Hills Thunder vs. Hurricane Tigers + Official Tickets

Desert Hills has gone a perfect 10-0 against Hurricane recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. After each having a week off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m.

Last Friday, Desert Hills came up short against Pine View and fell 23-16. Despite 146 more yards than the Panthers, the Thunder couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.

Despite the defeat, Desert Hills got top-tier performance from Isaac Andresen, who rushed for 165 yards and a pair of TDs, and also picked up 57 receiving yards. The Thunder also got help from Gavin Young, who showed off his sure hands for 82 receiving yards.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Hurricane, who bounced back after a loss on the road back in September. They enjoyed a cozy 38-24 win over Snow Canyon last Friday.

Special teams was a major factor in the game for Hurricane, racking up 12 points in total. All came from Max Hutchings: he went 4-for-4 kicking field goals for 12 points.

Desert Hills dropped their record down to 2-6 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Hurricane, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.

Everything came up roses for Desert Hills against Hurricane in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 38-7 win. In that game, the Thunder amassed a halftime lead of 24-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
