Baseball Recap: Piggott Comes Up Short

Piggott came into this matchup off a tough nine-run defeat last Thursday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Corning Bobcats by a score of 6-4 on Monday. The Mohawks haven't had much luck with the Bobcats recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Piggott's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Corning, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-2.

Looking ahead, Piggott will face off against Walnut Ridge at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Corning, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hillcrest at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
