Basketball Recap: Adyson Chadez's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Marsing over Melba

Marsing lost against Melba back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Marsing Huskies took a 46-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Melba Mustangs. The Huskies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Marsing's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Adyson Chadez, who posted 15 points. Chadez is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Josie Showalter, who earned four points and six rebounds.

Marsing now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Melba, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-3.

Marsing wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 30-26 win against Nampa Christian on the 10th. As for Melba, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 72-32 victory against The Ambrose School on the 10th.
