Basketball Recap: Wickliffe Comes Up Short

If Wickliffe was feeling good fresh off their 49-22 takedown of St. Martin de Porres last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wickliffe Blue Devils lost 51-28 to the Berkshire Badgers on Friday. The matchup marked the Blue Devils' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Wickliffe's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Berkshire, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wickliffe will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on South at 6:00 p.m. on January 6, 2025. As for Berkshire, they will venture away from home to square off against Edgewood at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. Edgewood will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Berkshire surely won't give up without a fight.
