Softball Recap: Glen Ridge Has No Trouble Against West Orange

Glen Ridge hadn't done well against West Orange recently (they were 0-8 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Ridgers were the clear victors by a 10-4 margin over the Mountaineers. The result was nothing new for the Ridgers, who have now won seven contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Siri ?Socks? Krabbe made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out 12 over 4.2 innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Catie ?Chicken Nugget? Buntrock, who went 3-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. Georgia ?G? Nix also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

Glen Ridge now has a winning record of 8-7. As for West Orange, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-6 record this season.
