Normangee entered their tilt with Groveton on Tuesday with 14 consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 15. They strolled past the Groveton Indians with points to spare, taking the game 70-53. For the Panthers, this counts as revenge for the 46-39 win the Indians walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2024.

Groveton's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kutter Minter, who went 5 of 6 en route to 12 points and three steals. Those 12 points gave Minter a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Josiah Allen, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds.

Normangee's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 21-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.0 points per game. As for Groveton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season.

Coincidentally, Normangee and Groveton will both be playing Grapeland the next time they take the court. Normangee will host Grapeland at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, while Groveton will head out to face them at 6:15 p.m. on January 22nd.
