Softball Game Preview: Ringgold Rams vs. Oakland Catholic

The Ringgold Rams will venture away from home to take on Oakland Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Ringgold is looking for their season's first win.

Things were looking good for Ringgold after they put the first runs on the board on Wednesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They came up short against Uniontown, falling 12-1.

Meanwhile, Oakland Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 16-4 to Uniontown.

Madison Pullen made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. That home run marked the first that she launched this season. Nina Hillard was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3.

Oakland Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Ringgold, their loss dropped their record down to 0-9.

Everything went Ringgold's way against Oakland Catholic in their previous meeting back in March of 2016, as Ringgold made off with a 26-8 victory. Will the Rams repeat their success, or do Oakland Catholic have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
