Salado has gone 8-2 against Lampasas recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Eagles will look to defend their home field against the Badgers at 7:00 p.m.

Last Friday, Salado came up short against East View and fell 4-1. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Salado saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brayden Naegele, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Lampasas waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with four straight wins... but they left with five. Everything went their way against the Yellow Jackets/Honeybees as they made off with a 9-1 win. Considering the Badgers have won nine games by more than six runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

JT Posten was excellent, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in March. Timber Gholson was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.

Lampasas pushed their record up to 17-4-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Salado, their loss dropped their record down to 14-7-1.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Salado has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Lampasas struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.5 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.

Salado was able to grind out a solid victory over Lampasas in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, winning 5-2. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Badgers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
