Baseball Recap: West Deptford Gets the Win

West Deptford hadn't done well against Haddon Heights recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Eagles walked away with a 4-1 victory over the Garnets. This was a revenge game for the Eagles: when they faced off against the Garnets back in April, they had to take a 10-0 defeat.

CJ Fiola spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on five hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Juan Morales, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Zakk Carson, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
