Tri-Valley had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.7 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Monday. Everything went their way against the Eureka Hornets as they made off with a 70-48 victory. Given the Vikings' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 125th, while the Hornets are ranked 263rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Tri-Valley's win bumped their record up to 14-4. As for Eureka, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-10.

Tri-Valley will square off against Lexington at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Lexington knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Tri-Valley likes a good challenge. As for Eureka, they will face off against Heyworth at 7:00 p.m. on January 28th.
