Baseball Recap: Morristown-Hamblen West Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Morristown-Hamblen West, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They came out on top against the Sevier County Smoky Bears on Tuesday by a score of 8-4 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). This was a revenge game for the Trojans: when they faced off against the Smoky Bears last Monday, they had to take a 8-4 loss.

Paxton Seal spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered four earned runs on six hits and racked up six Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Charles Dewald was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one double. Another player making a difference was Bryson Shepard, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
