Baseball Game Preview: Riverside Indian Braves vs. Granite

The Riverside Indian Braves will face off against Granite at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Riverside Indian took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Comanche 10-9. The high-scoring effort was just what the Braves needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Meanwhile, Granite got themselves on the board against Lomega on Friday, but Lomega never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Raiders with a sharp 9-0 win. The matchup marked Granite's most dominant victory of the season so far.

Riverside Indian's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-3. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games. As for Granite, they moved to 3-5 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.
