Softball Recap: Palmerton Comes Up Short

Palmerton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-5 heartbreaker at the hands of the Saucon Valley Panthers. The Blue Bombers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

TESSA SANDER made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one double. HAILEY DELGADO was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.

Palmerton's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Saucon Valley, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.

Coming up, Palmerton will face off against Catasauqua at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Saucon Valley, they will square off against Notre Dame-Green Pond at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Crusaders will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Panthers surely won't give up without a fight.
