Softball Recap: MacDonald Condor vs. Palo Alto Vikings
MacDonald proved they can win big last Wednesday (they won by six) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Palo Alto Vikings, sneaking past 5-4.
Ileyah Sanchez made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up four earned runs off ten hits (and only one walk). Sanchez was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kyleena Stone, who went 3-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.
MacDonald's record now sits at 3-4. As for Palo Alto, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-5.
