Archimedean suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Thursday. They had to suffer through a rough 68-36 loss at the hands of MAST Academy. Archimedean has not had much luck with MAST Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
When it comes to explaining why Archimedean lost, one person who can't be blamed is Joseph Vega. Despite the final result, he scored 21 points along with five rebounds. That was a full 58.3% of Archimedean's points, marking the fifth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. David Lopez-Lantigua was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five rebounds.
Archimedean struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only two offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Archimedean's loss was their sixth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 2-8. As for MAST Academy, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-4.
Archimedean will face off against Cushman at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for MAST Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Ransom Everglades at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
