League recap: Drexel powers Chesapeake with hot hitting week

John Drexel was the hottest hitter in the league this week, racking up a .800 average, one home run and four RBIs. Chesapeake compiled a record of 2-1 in that time.

Meade made the biggest jump in the standings this week, moving from seventh to fifth place in the league thanks to a 2-1 record over the past seven days. Meanwhile, Broadneck fell hardest in the standings, dropping from fifth all the way to seventh place after going 1-2 in the past week. Old Mill (17-2, 13-2) is the No. 1 team in the league.

Annapolis's pitchers were the toughest in the league on opposing hitters this week, giving up only eight hits. Annapolis has surrendered a mere 72 this season.

The Cougars's Drexel led the league with eight hits this week. His 21 hits for the year are eighth in the league, and he boasts a .404 batting average.
