Basketball Recap: Magoffin County Takes a Loss

Magoffin County lost against Lawrence County back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Magoffin County Hornets fell 88-75 to the Lawrence County Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, the Hornets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 219th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 82nd).

Magoffin County dropped their record down to 7-14 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Lawrence County, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-6.

Magoffin County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 68-31 defeat against Johnson Central on the 8th. As for Lawrence County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 72-65 loss against Mingo Central on the 7th.
