Baseball Recap: North Duplin Finds Home Field Redemption Against Union

There's no place like home for North Duplin, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They never let the Union Spartans get on the board and left with a 21-0 victory on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Rebels, who have now won five matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Noah Price was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He is becoming a predictor of North Duplin's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is undefeated (and 4-6 when he doesn't). Hunt Pate was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

North Duplin always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .676. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2024.

North Duplin now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Union, their loss was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-10.
