Softball Recap: Kermit Takes a Loss

Kermit lost against Brownfield back in April of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Yellow Jackets lost 23-5 to the Cubs. The Yellow Jackets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kalysta Burrola and Isabella Urquidi stepped up to the plate in a big way. Burrola went 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run, while Urquidi went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Kermit now has a losing record of 11-12. As for Brownfield, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-12 record this season.

While Kermit had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
