Brooklane Baptist can bid farewell to their 16-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Monday. They came out on top against the New Life Christian Academy Eagles by a score of 32-22. Brooklane Baptist's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Despite the loss, New Life Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: freshman Karmen Wilson dropped a triple-double on 12 points, ten rebounds, and 12 blocks. Wilson is crushing it when it comes to blocks: she's posted at least five every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kassidy Woods, who posted two points and three steals.

Brooklane Baptist's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-8. As for New Life Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.
