Volleyball Game Preview: Homewood-Flossmoor Vikings vs. Stagg Chargers

The Homewood-Flossmoor Vikings will head out to square off against the Stagg Chargers at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Homewood-Flossmoor comes in on three and Stagg on five.

On Thursday, it was close, but Homewood-Flossmoor sidestepped Andrew for a 2-1 win.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Homewood-Flossmoor got the one that really mattered. The final score came out to 25-17, 24-26, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Stagg was able to grind out a solid victory over Evergreen Park on Monday, taking the game 2-0.

While Stagg won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 25-9.

Homewood-Flossmoor's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-5. As for Stagg, their victory bumped their record up to 15-7.

Homewood-Flossmoor came out on top in a nail-biter against Stagg in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, sneaking past 2-1. Will the Vikings repeat their success, or do the Chargers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
