Baseball Recap: Maricopa Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Maricopa's offense. They came up short against the Canyon del Oro Dorados on Tuesday, falling 14-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rams of the 11-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2015.

Maricopa's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Canyon del Oro, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-3.

Coming up, Maricopa will head out to take on Pusch Ridge Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Maricopa's pitchers better be ready for this one: Pusch Ridge Christian Academy has averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season. As for Canyon del Oro, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Marana at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
