Seneca waltzed into their game on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Daniel Lions. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bobcats have posted against the Lions since March 22, 2022.

Tyler Vassey spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on three hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Seneca's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Joey McGovern, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

Seneca's win bumped their record up to 27-5. As for Daniel, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 21-10 record this season.

Seneca will have a chance to go back-to-back against Daniel: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
