Paramus Catholic came tearing into Thursday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 5-2 victory over the Morris Catholic Crusaders.

Paramus Catholic got a great performance from Jeremiah Diaz as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over 4.1 innings pitched. Diaz has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Justin Diez was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times he's played.

Paramus Catholic's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Morris Catholic, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 3-6.

Coming up, Paramus Catholic will venture away from home to challenge St. Benedict's Prep at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Gray Bees have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.2 runs per game on average), something the Knght Paladins will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Morris Catholic, they will square off against Manville at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
