Softball Recap: South Central Comes Up Short

South Central came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 12-3 to the Washington Pam Pack. If the Falcons were looking for revenge after losing 2-1 to the Pam Pack when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

South Central saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kamdyn Haislip, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

South Central's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Washington, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-2.

Coming up, South Central will host Northside - Jacksonville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Northside - Jacksonville has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 22.56 runs per game on average), something South Central will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Washington, they will head out on the road to face off against Farmville Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Farmville Central's pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so Washington's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
