Basketball Recap: Macks Creek Drops Highest Score of Season Against Weaubleau

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Macks Creek). They blew past the Weaubleau Tigers 76-28 on Friday. The win was nothing new for the Pirates as they're now sitting on six straight.

Macks Creek had a senior duo take command as Addison Ratliff almost dropped a double-double on 26 points and nine boards and India Willis almost dropped a double-double on 22 points and nine rebounds. Willis is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 24 games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Brooklyn Duggan, who went 6 for 11 en route to 14 points along with six assists and three steals.

Macks Creek smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in January of 2024.

Macks Creek pushed their record up to 16-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.8 points per game. As for Weaubleau, their loss dropped their record down to 3-10.

Macks Creek has already played their next contest (against Walnut Grove), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Weaubleau will be playing in front of their home fans against Fair Play at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Fair Play will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Weaubleau surely won't give up without a fight.
