Basketball Recap: Clarkston Comes Up Short

Clarkston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were dealt a 59-26 defeat at the hands of the North Springs Spartans. The Angoras were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-12.

Clarkston's loss came despite strong showings from Grace Kasongo and Autumn Cooper. Kasongo dropped a double-double with 13 points and 16 rebounds, while Cooper posted four points and 14 boards. That was a full 50% of the Angoras' points, marking the eighth time in a row Kasongo has had more than a third of the team's points.

Clarkston's loss dropped their record down to 3-20. As for North Springs, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-17.

Coming up, Clarkston will look to defend their home court on Friday against Southwest DeKalb at 6:00 p.m. North Springs does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
