There's no place like home for Fonda-Fultonville, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Fort Plain Hilltoppers on Monday. The victory continues a trend for the Valley Hawks in their matchups with the Hilltoppers: they've now won four in a row.

Landon Hamlen made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Hamlen was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ethan Richardson, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Jacob Sheldon, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI and one double.

Fonda-Fultonville always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .556. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Fonda-Fultonville's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Fort Plain, they dropped their record down to 2-5 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.
