Baseball Recap: Grace Academy Comes Up Short

After flying high against Union Preparatory last Thursday, Grace Academy came back down to earth. Grace Academy lost 10-4 to the Charlotte S Stampede on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Stampede this season, with their most recent defeat being a 8-0 loss last Wednesday.

Seth Stanton made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two). Fletcher Owens was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Grace Academy's loss dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Charlotte S, their record now sits at 8-10.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Grace Academy will face off against rival Lee Park Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Charlotte S is set to square off against their familiar foe Pro Stock Royals Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
