Football Game Preview: Caddo Bruins vs. Dewar Dragons

Caddo hasn't had much luck against Dewar recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Bruins will look to defend their home field against the Dragons at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

If Caddo beats Dewar with 48 points on Thursday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. The Bruins didn't even let Canadian on the board on Friday, marking the Bruins' second-straight 48-0 shutout. The win was just business as usual for the Bruins, who after nine games remain undefeated this season.

Cale Wigington produced another solid effort rushing for 119 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries, while also throwing for 169 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 73.3% of his passes. Bayler Black was another key player, gaining 97 total yards and two touchdowns.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Dewar against Keota on Friday as the team secured a 54-8 victory. The win continues a trend for the Dragons in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won four in a row.

Caddo was taken down by Dewar 47-0 when the teams last played back in November of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Dragons' Braelin Lewis, who rushed for 174 yards and five scores while picking up 8.3 yards per carry.
