Basketball Game Preview: Martin Warriors vs. Grand Prairie Gophers

The Martin Warriors will square off against the Grand Prairie Gophers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Tuesday, Martin strolled past Lamar with points to spare, taking the game 64-46. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 172nd, while the Vikings are ranked 571st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Grand Prairie had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.3 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They took down the Volunteers 48-32.

Grand Prairie is also on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a massive bump to their 13-9 record this season. As for Martin, their win bumped their record up to 17-12.
