Softball Game Preview: Moss Point Tigers vs. Bay Tigers

Moss Point is 0-10 against Bay since March of 2019 but things could change on Friday. We've got a battle between Tigers coming up. Moss Point has given up an average of 16.2 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

Moss Point came up short against Biloxi on Thursday, falling 18-4.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Bay and Picayune meet (six straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Thursday. Bay came out on top against Picayune by a score of 11-8. That three run margin sets a new team best for the Tigers this season.

Lakeitha Sampson - 2025 was a standout: she scored three runs and stole Two bases. while going 3-for-3. Madison Weems - 2025 was another key player, going 2-for-4 with four RBI and one run.

Bay was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .469. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Bay's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Moss Point, their loss dropped their record down to 2-9.
