Basketball Recap: Miller Place Takes a Loss

Miller Place lost against John Glenn back in January of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Miller Place Panthers were beaten by the John Glenn Knights 58-26. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Miller Place's loss came despite strong showings from Brooke Callaghan and Isabella Zaher. Callaghan posted eight points and seven rebounds, while Zaher put up seven points and seven rebounds. Zaher is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games.

Even though they lost, Miller Place smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Miller Place's loss dropped their record down to 2-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Miller Place will venture away from home to challenge Mount Sinai at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for John Glenn, they are taking a road trip to square off against Kings Park at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
