Softball Recap: Grove City Makes It Three in a Row at Home

Grove City gave up the first runs on Wednesday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top against the Johnstown-Monroe Johnnies by a score of 9-6. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Greyhounds also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2021.

Grove City pushed their record up to 4-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Johnstown-Monroe, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Grove City will take on Circleville at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Johnstown-Monroe, they will face off against Highland at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday.
