Basketball Recap: Searsport Takes a Loss

Searsport was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Central Red Devils 64-13. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maine basketball rankings (they are ranked 128th, while the Red Devils are ranked 27th).

Searsport's defeat dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Central, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-4.

Searsport will square off against Wiscasset at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Searsport is facing Wiscasset at the right time seeing as Wiscasset is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Central, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 72-42 win against Orono on the 30th.
