Baseball Game Preview: East Central HomeSchool Patriots vs. Cullman Charger Lightening

The East Central HomeSchool Patriots will face off against the Cullman Charger Lightening at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. East Central HomeSchool has given up an average of 9.2 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

East Central HomeSchool took a loss when they played away from home last Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They skirted past Tabernacle 14-13. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Patriots' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Barksdale scored three runs and stole Three bases. while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances, while Weems scored three runs while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance gave Barksdale a new career-high in runs. Luke Gast was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

East Central HomeSchool always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .595. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, Cullman lost 12-4 to East Central HomeSchool back in February.

East Central HomeSchool now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Cullman, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
