Carrizo Springs hasn't had much luck against Devine recently, but that could start to change  on Friday. The Wildcats will head out to  face off against the Warhorses / Arabians  at 5:00  p.m. Carrizo Springs will be strutting in after a  win while Devine will be coming in after a  loss.
While Carrizo Springs'  victory against Pleasanton wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Wildcats skirted past the Eagles  3-2. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for the Wildcats.
 Carrizo Springs took Pleasanton into a fifth set  where they got it done with a three-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-21, 24-26, 23-25,  15-12.
Carrizo Springs' success was spearheaded by the efforts of   Joselyn DeLuna, who  had 18  assists and four  digs, and   Giada Gonzalez, who  had four  digs and two  aces. That's the most assists  DeLuna has posted since back in August of 2024.
 They weren't the only good servers: Carrizo Springs  was lethal from the service line and  finished the match with 12  aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  served at least seven  aces in five consecutive  matches.
Meanwhile, Devine came up short against Uvalde on Tuesday and fell  3-1.
 The final score came out to 25-23, 16-25, 25-7,  25-23.
 Carrizo Springs' record is now 11-12. As for Devine, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-17.
 Carrizo Springs might still be hurting after the  3-0 loss they got from Devine  in their previous meeting  back in September. Can the Wildcats avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
