Softball Game Preview: Garfield Boilermakers vs. Wallington Panthers

Garfield is 0-4 against Wallington since April of 2023 but things could change on Friday. The Boilermakers will look to defend their home field against the Panthers at 4:00 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Garfield is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 11th straight game dating back to last season on Wednesday. They came up short against Becton, falling 16-0.

Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Wallington's offense. They lost 7-0 to Morris Catholic on Wednesday. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Garfield's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Wallington, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Garfield suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Wallington in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can the Boilermakers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
