Soccer Recap: Toppenish Comes Up Short

After flying high against Ephrata on Saturday, Toppenish came back down to earth. The Wildcats fell just short of the Ellensburg Bulldogs by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against Ellensburg this season, with their most recent defeat being a 2-1 loss back in April.

Toppenish's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-8-1. As for Ellensburg, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-9-1 record this season.

Toppenish does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ellensburg, they will take on Othello at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Ellensburg will need to watch out since Othello have now posted at least four goals in their last three contests.
