Linden made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Sierra, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Lions put the hurt on the Timberwolves with a sharp 9-3 victory on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won ten matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Linden let Dax Weber and Brody Black run wild. Weber scored three runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances, while Black scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-5. Those three runs gave Weber a new career-high. James Boysen was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Linden is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Sierra, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season.

Linden is taking a road trip to take on Calaveras at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Sierra, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Patterson at 4:00 p.m.
