Baseball Game Preview: Mountain View Toros vs. Hamilton Huskies

The Mountain View Toros are taking a road trip to square off against the Hamilton Huskies at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Mountain View is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Arizona's top teams: Desert Vista, who was ranked 13th at the time (Mountain View was ranked 22nd). The Toros walked away with a 6-2 win over the Thunder on Saturday. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since February 23, 2023, but that streak is no more.

Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Hamilton ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out Liberty 6-5. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Huskies.

The team relied heavily on Cole Berge, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024. Nico Linville was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Hamilton kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in 11 consecutive matches.

Mountain View's record is now 18-11. As for Hamilton, their record now sits at 21-6.
