Baseball Recap: Azusa Gets the Win

Azusa won the last time they faced Duarte and things went their way on Thursday too. The Aztecs came out on top in a nail-biter against the Falcons, sneaking past 7-5. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Aztecs.

Rafael Molina was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 4-for-4. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Anthony Rojas also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Azusa always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. They are 4-2 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Azusa's record is now 5-7. As for Duarte, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Azusa will face off against Sierra Vista at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Aztecs are facing the Dons at the right time seeing as the Dons are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Duarte, they will challenge Nogales at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
