Basketball Game Preview: Red Bird Cardinals vs. Lynn Camp Wildcats

Red Bird is 0-10 against Lynn Camp since January of 2017 but things could change on Monday. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Red Bird Cardinals duke it out with the Lynn Camp Wildcats at 6:30 a.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Red Bird is headed into Monday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 13th straight game dating back to last season on Friday. They took a blow against Owsley County, falling 72-43.

Meanwhile, Lynn Camp was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were outmatched by Pineville and fell 80-43. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 256th, while the Mountain Lions are ranked 95th).

Red Bird's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Lynn Camp, their loss dropped their record down to 1-10.

Red Bird came up short against Lynn Camp when the teams last played back in December of 2024, falling 56-45. Can Red Bird avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
