Preview: Bluegrass United Bluehawks vs. Jackson County Generals
The Bluegrass United Bluehawks will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against the Jackson County Generals at 3:30 p.m. on December 28th. Hopefully Bluegrass United focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Friday.
Last Friday, Bluegrass United came up short against East Carter and fell 52-41.
Despite their defeat, Bluegrass United saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Allie McGuire, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and three steals, was perhaps the best of all. The matchup was McGuire's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Piper Graham, who scored 12 points along with nine rebounds.
Meanwhile, Jackson County earned a 60-52 victory over Central Wise on Friday. The victory was just what Jackson County needed coming off of a 49-26 loss in their prior match.
Bluegrass United's loss dropped their record down to 11-3. As for Jackson County, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.
