Softball Game Preview: Evansville Harrison Warriors vs. Evansville North Huskies

Evansville Harrison hasn't had much luck against Evansville North recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Warriors will host the Huskies at 5:00 p.m.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Evansville Harrison's offense. They came up short against Vincennes Lincoln on Tuesday, falling 10-0. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Evansville North posted their closest win since April 9th on Monday. They won by a run and slipped past Evansville Mater Dei 8-7.

Evansville North let Hannah Wilke and Gracie Bowden run wild. Wilke went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI, while Bowden went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Ripley Anderson, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Evansville North kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.5 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 games they've averaged 11.4.

Evansville Harrison's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Evansville North, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
