Knightdale and Rolesville are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2020, but not for long. The Knightdale Knights will venture away from home to face off against the Rolesville Rams at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Knightdale comes in on three and Rolesville on four.
Knightdale is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Wake Forest: they outscored them in every quarter. Knightdale enjoyed a cozy 56-40 win over Wake Forest on Friday. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 61st, while the Cougars are ranked 353rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Knightdale's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Isaiah Green, who went 6 of 12 en route to 15 points in addition to seven steals and five assists. Green has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 44 times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamari Williams, who posted 17 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Rolesville hadn't done well against Wakefield recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Rolesville came out on top against Wakefield by a score of 59-49.
Knightdale better focus on containing Anthony Roberts, Jr and Marquis Bryant as the pair were huge in Rolesville's win. Roberts, Jr dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 boards, while Bryant went 6 for 10 on his way to 17 points. Cannon Marshall was another key player, putting up nine points and five rebounds.
Knightdale has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.4 points per game. As for Rolesville, they now have a winning record of 10-9.
Tuesday's contest will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Green and Caiden Jenkins. Green has been dynamite this season: he has averaged 17.7 points, 4.8 steals, and 3.3 assists. For his part, Jenkins has averaged 17.2 points, 7.1 boards, and 1.1 steals.
Knightdale beat Rolesville 49-40 in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Will Knightdale repeat their success, or does Rolesville have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
