Baseball Game Preview: East Canton Hornets vs. Malvern Hornets

For the second straight game, East Canton will face off against Malvern. East Canton will be playing in front of their home fans against Malvern at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between East Canton and Malvern, and Malvern kept the tradition alive. East Canton took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Malvern on Tuesday.

For Malvern's part, Owen Warth was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over six innings pitched. Those six strikeouts gave Warth a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Cameron Good was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. Tyler Cobb was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Malvern's victory ended a seven-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-13. As for East Canton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 13 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season.
