Baseball Game Preview: Royall Panthers vs. Seneca Indians

The Royall Panthers will venture away from home to square off against the Seneca Indians at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

On Monday, Royall needed a bit of extra time to put away Brookwood. They had just enough and edged out the Falcons 7-6. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Seneca, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-6 win over Wauzeka-Steuben on Monday.

Gage Wall made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He pitched 5.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off seven hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run.

In other batting news, Jax Wall was excellent, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jackson Konichek, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Royall's record is now 6-4. As for Seneca, their record now sits at 11-4.
